Rising island reggae artist Ha’angana combines illustrious illustrations with lyrics full of sorrow in the this world video premiere for “Wondering”! The single, out as of July 28th, builds towards what can only be a well-welcomed full-length album, due out September 30th via Rebel Sound Records.

Today, Rootfire premieres the fourth track to be released from Cheers to the Chiefs, titled, “Trading Bread.” Like the first three singles mentioned in this article, “Trading Bread,” features an upbeat melody, catchy chorus and slick production. Yet, unlike the previously released singles, the song departs lyrically from romantic love, the predominant theme of the album, and instead speaks to economic struggles that most people deal with in the grind of life. 

Ha’angana was featured on BBC Radio by legendary broadcaster David Rodigan, who spotlighted his track “What I Love About You.” Highlighting his Tongan roots, Rodigan praised the song as something special, noting its quality and standout vibe—marking a major moment for Ha’angana on the global reggae stage.
